Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility
Awareness of the importance of workplace flexibility continues to grow across our country. As our economy changes, so must the policies and practices of companies successfully attracting and retaining exceptional employees.
As part of a multi-year partnership, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation enlisted the expertise of the Families and Work Institute of New York, the Institute for a Competitive Workforce at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the Twiga Foundation, Inc. to create the When Work Works project and the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility. The Sloan Award honors businesses that have made commitments to workplace effectiveness and flexibility as a tool to enhance organizational and employee success. As a winner, each company ranks in the top 20% of employers nationwide in workplace flexibility.
This achievement was recognized by Senator Mike Crapo of Idaho in statements submitted to the Congressional Record on September 22, 2010 and March 9, 2011 respectively.
